Dave McDaniel is teaching this week. (I think he's the base leader here.) But he's teaching on Nature and Character of God. It's so good. He's so funny yet so deep in everything. He loves the fact that God has a sense of humor. I have always liked that fact too. He showed us a video from a few years ago, of his group in Japan stopping a young Japanese guy on crutches. There was no translator, so they tried there best to ask him if they could pray for him. The kid was confused but the guy just gave up and and bent down, laid his hands on the boys knee and started praying. The poor guy was slightly confused and freaked out haha. His face was funny. Then they asked him to try walking on it. He did. He did again. Then he jumped back and had this compleat amazed and scared look on his face. Then he walked some more, he says, "no ouch!" "Who are you?" He looks so confused and keeps testing out his leg. It was just so amazing! I want to see that happen in person! It was such an encouragement to see that! Amazing how little that actually is to God. He's like, "oh, you want to heal his leg in my name? Well I gave you the power so do it. The biggest miracle is when someone gives their life to me. So this is a piece of cake." Or something like that. I believe he heals but I also believe that sometimes he doesn't. That's ok. We don't have to wonder why he didn't heal in the moment. It's not really our problem. We aren't the ones healing, God is. We are simply asked to pray.
Normally, when I write something here or somewhere, ill add, 'God is good, all the time'. It's true and I always liked that. But now, I want to think of him as super Big and powerful. So maybe,
God is Good, God is Big, All the time.
((PS. Sorry if you find words that are miss spelled. I try to fix them as best as I know, but spelling isn't my gift haha.))
