Checking In

Hello Family and Friends! I am finally making another update! I have been busy this past month in a very good way. Thank you all for still praying for me and keeping me in your thoughts. I am very very thankful!

DTS 2017! 

We have already been doing this years bilingual DTS for a whole month now! It still feels like we just started. I am blown away already! We have 6 different nations represented in our students and 8 nations represented in our staff. It is a very international environment and so much fun to be here. 

So far we have had four weeks of different teachings from different people. 

Character and Nature of God, Jesus and Freedom,  Father Heart Of God, and The Cross and Grace.  It has been amazing with so many different revelations from the Lord that have hit my heart. I am enjoying being able to learn while also discipling others. 

LOCAL OUTREACHES 

So I have talked allot about the worship outreach in the park that I get to work with every Friday. Its still happening. But also there are three other YWAM Tokyo staff groups doing different things on the same night in the same city. We cover ground! On the east side of the city for the past year and a half (about) a group of staff have "art outreach". Its like the worship outreach but where their focus is to ask the Lord what pictures to draw then give those pictures to a Japanese person and share God's love. Also, more so recently there has been a group of about four staff going out every Friday around the same time and sharing the gospel and asking Japanese people on the streets really heart provoking questions. Then around the end of the worship outreach time another group goes out and does more street evangelism. These times have really been seeing some awesome things happening! 

FRIDAY TESTIMONY

Allot of cool things have been happening and people come back to the base after Friday nights with many new testimonies. We have been seeing healings, salvations and street preaching come out of these nights. Its been really amazing hearing these things but honestly I haven't been as up close to the personal stories as I would like. So I'm going to share the story of the one I did get to watch unfold. 

The Friday before last we went to the usual park that we do worship in. However, there was a festival happening with music, so playing there wouldn't be able to happen. So our plan was to join the art outreach on the other side of Ikebukuro but when we turned to head that way the art outreach group were coming up to us. There was a festival in the other park too. SO, we prayed as a leaders group what to do. We decided to go to the newer park in the south part of the city. Once we got there we sat down and started worshiping. 

Almost immediately a group of high school girls got closer to our group to listen and clap for us. They stood very close by for a while and then a few of our group went over to talk with them. They talked with the girls for a while then started to ask some questions that our evangelism group was asking people on the street.
For example; "Do you think you are a good person?" "Do you believe that there is a God?" Questions like that. The high school girls were very interested in what was being asked and said. Then one of our staff (after sharing more about Jesus) asked if they wanted to invite him into their hearts. They were curious so she said if they wanted they could repeat after her. She started to pray and two of the girls began to cry. They were very touched by the Lord. I myself looked over and saw the girls crying. All five of the high school girls prayed the prayer. After that they still sat close to us. Also one of our DTS students drew
some pictures and gave them to the girls. They were very touched. It was a very cool experience. Afterward our students invited them to come over to the base (where we all live) for a cake party next Saturday. Three of them ended up coming and had a fun time. They didn't want to leave.

What I really love about this story is how God changed all our plans and lead us to this park to reach a group of young girls. We don't know their hearts or their lives. Yet, God saw them and was watching over them and sent us to them. To a park we had never gone to before. In everything he sees us. Thats a really beautiful story of his love.
So thats only one story. There are a few more from other groups, like getting specific words from God that touched peoples hearts and surprised them. Leading people to Jesus, or preaching to groups of people on the street. This is happening now and I can't wait to see what happens next.
