Last Days Before (YWAM Tokyo's) DTS 2016

Hello! Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for me and for Japan. God is doing wonderful things here in this nation and he is continuing to call in the harvesters more and more. Thank you all who have donated to me as well! I am so blessed by the things you have given!

I am continuing with Friday Night outreach as I have been with my friend and fellow YWAM staff. Honestly, It continues to be a challenge to me. However, I know that God will use me in my weakest moments. He is always faithful to that.
A couple of weeks ago, we had a church team from Texas join us for our outreach night along with a team from a 24 hour prayer mission that is in Japan. It was a great night! This photo above is one of our staff with a member of the Texas team talking to a Japanese man that stopped to listen to our worship. He was very captivated and was beginning to tear up. After the pastor from the Texas team went over to speak with him, the man asked "what kind of music is this? it sounds 'supernatural'." (Of course, my friend and I are not professionals to put it gently). SO, the pastor from Texas and one of our staff shared with this man about Jesus and why we were doing what we do. The man had tears in his eyes as he listened. They also got to pray for him before he had to go. It was a great encounter. (Other people also got to share the gospel with different people here and there during this night as well).

DTS Is about to start! (Actually, as I type there are students flying here now). This past month we as staff have been preparing all the many things that need to get done before the 13 students arrive. One of those days we spent on 'team building'. The church team from Texas actually specialized in team building! (Jesus and his timing). So, we had a crazy roller-coaster day of trust falls, carrying each other over imaginary bridges and blind folding and leading. Honestly, as much as this day challenged me, i walked away laughing.
During this day, one of our activities was almost impossible in my eyes. It took us an hour to do it and the end result wasn’t perfect. All the staff were blindfolded. Then without them knowing, a rubber tube with lots of ropes coming out from it was laid in one place behind them. Then a bit to the side was a bucket of water. Then a bit more over was a tiny cup. My job as the leader was to lead them without telling them what they were doing. Get them to each pick up a string, Stand, and all (as a now attached group) walk over to the bucket, center the rubber tube over the water bucket, then pick up the water bucket; carry it over to the cup and pour it into the cup. WHAT? (sorry for the detailed description but it felt crazy).
Surprisingly, almost after 30 or 40 minutes, I got them to pick up the bucket. Then, they switched me with another staff and I was happy. He finished the rest of the goal. But I realized how hard it was on the staff with that rope. It was a bit painful but they were not complaining at all.
Overall, it was a good active fun day.
I do believe that this years DTS staff is truly amazing and I am happy to be working with them all!

Thank you everyone who has been praying for our building! It is truly an amazing blessing! We have a tiny air-conditioned shed that we set up as a beautiful prayer room now too! I have truly been in aw at Gods amazing kindness towards us. We will own this building one day! Please continue to pray for the finances to buy it.
All of this years DTS lecture phase will be happening in this building. So excited for that!
